Heart-Based Decisions

Friends – did you know - I have been living an experiment for the last few years? The results are so amazing I need to share them with you!

The experiment: Phyllis and I have been living according to heart-based decisions and trust. While sometimes doubt sneaks in, we’ve generally stayed the course in faith. Now we are living in a state of abundance, generally at peace and in fulfillment. Sounds good, right? How does this work, you might ask?

When we make a heart-based decision and trust the outcome, we choose to be in flow. We release the ego fear voice talking about lack and scarcity, and being judged by others. By feeling into our heart we can decide without the programming that limits us. When we release expectation of the outcome and trust that the universe (Spirit/Source/God) is conspiring with us, we then come into alignment with the universe and naturally move to abundance and peace.

I recently chose to leave a group that I belonged to. I had been showing up for this group, attending meetings and participating fully. I made some good friends but I felt like there was something missing for me. As I looked into my heart I realized that at its core the group’s goals and my own were not the same. I left with gratitude for the group - I had a great experience. By leaving I opened space in my life for whatever is next.

Abundance is: relationships, friends, experiences, all of which we can appreciate and be grateful for. Phyllis and I have abundance, overflowing. We feel fulfillment in our relationships and our work. I hear you say: “Wait, John, what about material abundance?!” Absolutely, we all need to eat and meet our basic needs. My question back to you is: “Do you have enough, enough for today, or today and tomorrow?” There is a difference between what society would say we “need” as a lifestyle, and what fulfills basic needs. My full response to your question is this: the Universe will take care of your material needs if you are able to live a heart-based life in service.

Bottom line: heart-based decisions result in abundance. Full stop. When you combine heart-based decisions with trust, and release expectation of outcome, the result is a satisfying collaboration with the universe.

Are you making heart-based decisions for yourself and your business? The litmus test is: if you are feeling friction in your life, or are struggling with your business, ego/fear still has a seat at your table.
